Strategic Service Level Elements
Quote
Response Time
· Waterloo Industries expects our suppliers to respond with
quotes on standard parts in three days or less or as agreed upon.
· We also expect our suppliers to provide quotations in ten
days or less, or as agreed upon for parts that are involved in New
Product Development, that have extensive tooling or items
that require samples to be sent.
Performance
Measurement
· Supplier response time will be monitored under the Waterloo
Industries Quote Response Time Tracking Program.
Samples
for New Product Development
· Waterloo Industries expects our suppliers to deliver samples
as needed or within an agreed upon time frame.
Performance
Measurement:
· Will be monitored within the quote response tracking
program.
Customer
Service and Availability
· Waterloo Industries expects a supplier representative to
be readily accessible and responsive to day to day issues. These
issues include but are not limited to issues such as quote requests,
pricing questions, product specification questions, and other business
related issues.

· Performance will be evaluated based on Plant and IHQ
Buyer experience.
Innovation
and Cost Control
· Waterloo Industries recognizes the importance of innovation
and cost control in maintaining it's competitive position in the
tool storage industry. Both enable Waterloo Industries to be a key
supplier to it's customer base. Therefore, it is important that
suppliers bring new and innovative ideas along with cost reduction
proposals to
us. Either innovation or cost control should cover all aspects of
a business relationship and certainly include products, processes,
technology improvements, efficiency improvements, and business practices.

· Performance will be evaluated based on Plant and IHQ
Buyer experience.
EDI,
Bar Code, Direct Deposit, and Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) Technology
· Waterloo Industries expects our suppliers to utilize EDI,
Bar Code, Direct Deposit and EFT technology for receiving our purchase
orders, shipping our product, invoicing shipments, and accepting
payment for product shipped to Waterloo Industries.

Instruction Compliance
· Waterloo Industries expects our suppliers to follow our
purchase order instructions regarding freight routings.
· Waterloo Industries expects suppliers to call ahead for
our approval concerning any deviation from our routing instructions.
· Waterloo Industries expects suppliers to ship product collect
unless otherwise agreed upon.
